[I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO PUT HERE, but Vriska is twenty-four years old and has been in Adstring for going on twelve years now; Kanaya can, obviously, be whatever you choose]
[do you want to do an in-person thing or a DM-esque thing or]
[OKAY WELL probably Kanaya after 10 aaaaaand a half years in Exsilium is 25! not rocking any purply palerom necklaces but UNDEATH GOES ON
And maybe they're in some sort of... interdimensional bar? Not fourth-wall breaking per se, but both end up there kind of outside game settings on a rather flimsy pretense.
Later there will be monsters or something for variety. But not tonight. For now Kanaya's just lurking near the back, helping an employee who's having trouble cleaning the mirrors.]
[Scotch, Kanaya instantly thinks, aging is more efficient outside interdimensions; then she realizes who said that. Heh...? It's been a while.
Her eyes dart over to the bar once, briefly; yeah, that sure is Vriska, and given the matching age she has vague ideas about the sort of dimension. She's got to take care of this mirror, though. Maybe once it's done...]
[She shrugs.] I don't know about you; in my case I think it's the Initiative's way of sending us on furlough. Have you been conscripted or not? Either way a drink will probably help.
Let me guess; you're talking game stuff, right? Sorry, Kanaya. I've been away from that universe for more than ten years. Sgrub isn't a part of my life anymore.
[She shakes her head.] I'm talking about a different kind of war. Probably might as well be Prospit and Derse for all it presumably has to do with you now, though.
Exsilium, which is basically Prospit on Earth. The United Earth is our Derse. I've been fighting in their war since... pretty much since the last time we saw each other. [That's simpler.] And where have you been?
[she has to take a moment to dig through her memory to remember exactly what Prospit and Derse symbolized in the game, but eventually she seems satisfied with Kanaya's explanation]
There are a lot of realms of such a nature out there. Yours would make... about the sixth I've heard of. It's a pretty common impulse of - human scientists or soldiers living on a ruined or otherwise wrong planet, usually, I think [details get fuzzy after a while and she never did find out for sure how much of that was the case for Carriero] - to come to the conclusion they should build a machine to keep them company.

[asking the bartender:]
Which is better, martinis or scotch?

That's certainly me despite what some people will tell you. Still Vriska Serket, I take it?

So if you got out of the game too, where did you end up?

A broken-down city that was stranded in time.

is she wearing her necklace or not?
no violetsy necklace or key necklace; she never received the former and the latter is locked up in
I actually meant the white one in her icons!
That's what I meant by the violetsy one! So no she doesn't have that one
ohhh okay; it looks white in the icon so I got confused
