It is almost five in the morning and Kanaya is nowhere to be found in the hotel room commandeered by the Future Foundation. She is conspicuously absent from her usual nighttime position on the other side of the double bed where Kyouko sleeps while she watches. Neither brushing up on her Japanese nor working with any computing solution, hands free or otherwise.

A SHSL Detective, however, would not be terribly challenged to follow a trail down the staircase and across the parking lot. From there, a light in the alleyway suggests a glowing alien is the source.

It's not like she needs much sleep, anyway; while she may not be a vampire, Kyouko Kirigiri is all about efficiency. She's not surprised to find Kanaya where she is- and it'd be hard to miss her, given that she's brighter than a lamp out here- and sneaks up on her in complete silence.

Cats. She has a row of three before her kneeling form, or had before she picked up the middle one. They're all two or three years old and have snapped necks - she doesn't have spare sleeping pills, this seems easier. One is drained of blood already, another is in her mouth.

She does not hear Kirigiri, and preoccupied with prey her scent likewise causes no reaction.
