Oooof course, there are people who've been around for a long time who don't want to leave anymore. Once you've been somewhere for years and years, it has a way of growing on you.

Well... it's a lot of inertia, honestly. I don't have anywhere better to be. And at this point if a respectable amount of trolls won't remain there's no point in hatching the matriorb. So... I help out where I can.

[Then something makes her think--] Your realm is predominantly human too, isn't it?

I don't know if I'd say that. There're a lot of them, but there are a lot of other species, too. Why?

Nothing, I just got... curious as to if there were more of us there.

There's more than just trolls and humans in the universe.

Sometimes it's strange to me - the only other trolls I ever saw were the ones with whom we played the game, sometimes the ancestors thereof. And similarly with most other species, only a few small groups. It makes me wonder if there's only one universe where each of us respectively exist, unlike the apparent case for humans.

I don't spend much time thinking about that stuff.

That's probably wiser in its way. Semantics can bog someone down.

Demographics were never really my thing, anyway.

What is your thing nowadays, then? Is figuring out that machine your main occupation?

I guess so. It keeps me pretty busy.

Well, yeah. I'd rather succeed so I can move on with my life.

I don't know about you, but I want to keep drinking this margarita.

Heh. I've had my experiences with alcohol and I can't say it's much to my taste. Doesn't really compare to blood. But I wouldn't recommend that particular drink to you.
