[Kanaya did not know where she expected to find herself after leaving the asylum, but it was probably not here. Another strange respiteblock. A little more Alternian by aesthetic at least. Okay. Great. What the hell is going on.

Still feeling the newhatched sensation just barely worn off, she opens the door and wanders out, calling to see who else is out there.]

[She's not exactly sure what Vriska's thinking but she feels like she said the wrong thing.]

We've got to find something eventually.

[she falls silent-- if Kanaya lets her, she's going to walk all the way around the ship]

Vriska you're making me imagine the ship as a racetrack

[She gives up on conversation for the time being too, and she'll keep up with Vriska's pace for sure, but maybe three-quarters through the circuit:]

If we don't find an exit we're going to have to find sustenance eventually.

Yeah, I'll be fine for quite some time. [But eventually she'll need to drink blood... Her pace increases.]

[aaaand once they've made it all the way around the ship with no signs of life...]

[she stops, leaning against a wall]

[Peeking into the open - yep that sure is the room she started in; slumping against opposite wall.]

That is probably an appropriate reaction.

Can you leave me alone for a while?

[Sort of reluctant but backing away, almost into the open doorway of that room where she woke up.]

Thanks.

[she lets her forehead fall to her knees]

[And she recedes into that room, closing the door behind her.]

[eventually Vriska will get up too, and go to look for a room to close herself in]

Kanaya can do this, she can be the nondesperate nonmeddler, she can wait for Vriska to want to come back

...though she is delicious smelling

She is slated for a long period of staring at the ceiling and walls followed by more independent exploration in other words

Maybe she'll find the room with the Monopoly in it]

[Vriska will leave a few times to wander around the ship again, but beyond that, she'll stay holed up alone]

[Kanaya is coming to the slow conclusion that this may be a spaceship but she's not an engineer she'll have to consult with Vriska about this theory once she runs into her again]

[unless Kanaya intervenes, that'll be a couple of days later, when Vriska's out exploring again]
